Lemon Tree

This week my best work friend Natasha is leaving me…..forever 😦 I’m well and truly heart broken, but what can you do, people sadly move on and i know deep down its the best for her. But that doesn’t make me any less sad. So as part of her many send off activities we decided to all go for a lovely thai lunch at the Lemon Tree.

Katie and my lovely Tasha 😦 DONT LEAVE ME!!!

From the outside this place just looks like any old pub, and downstairs it doesn’t look too dissimilar to that either.

But if you want more of a dining experience, they have a secret little room upstairs which just has dining tables up there, perfect for a work lunch!

The menu is mainly thai, however if its pub grub your craving they do offer a few choices of the usual bits you would expect to find. However we ALL opted for the thai and it was gooooooooood! As I’m sure your all aware as i’ve mentioned many times before, I’m i huge thai food lover, so I’d say im a pretty tough critic, but everything we had was really really good.

I started with prawn toast, more Chinese than thai but it was good none the less! The others had spring rolls, veggie and prawn, some tom yum soup which looked amazing and chicken satay. All had raving reviews.

Apologies for the somewhat blurry photos, i was just a tad excited to eat! For main i had what i pretty much always have when i have thai, Red Chicken Curry and it was yuuuuuum!! A few of the others went for noodle dishes instead, and Katie went for a Masaman curry with veggies (she’s a crazy vegetarian!)

After filling myself to the absolute brim we had to pay up (very reasonable) and head back to the office where we all spent the afternoon groaning about how full we were! The Lemon Tree was great, i wouldn’t recommend it if your looking for a super romantic dinning experience, but if your looking for quick, really good quality thai food then make sure you pop in, it really is perfect for a work lunch!

Has anyone ever been? Or do you have any other hidden gems like this one that you want to share!? I always love to read your comments so please let me know if you do.
