With the sun shinning last week, its easy to feel like summer might just be around the corner. I don’t know about you, but when summer’s here my whole appetite changes, its all about light, quick, easy dishes containing nice fresh ingredients. Nothing too heavy! Lots of lovely salads or BBQ food, or spaghetti! As i’m sure ive said before, i love pasta and spaghetti sooooo much. You can top it with anything and make the most wonderful dishes. This one is no exception!
Apologies for my huge lack of blogging last week. I am oh so sorry! Work has been crazy and in the run up to my birthday i was running around trying to get everything sorted!
Anyways, normality will commence, i hope! So a week or so ago i was doing my usual, browsing bookatable and came across a great deal for Crazy Bear in Fitzrovia. 10 plate, premium sharing menu for only £29.50 (the deal is still on if you want to book it, click here)! Now i’ve wanted to try Crazy Bear ever since my manager at work got to go with a client and came back raving about it, but haven’t had a chance to get round to it. So when i saw the deal i had to snap it up! Ed is a pretty big fan too so that didn’t take much convincing!
This little breakfast/brunch recipe combines all my fave things, eggs, avocado, tomatoes and parma ham. In my eyes, its the best weekend breakfast meal ever! But i’m a little bias i guess! It’s super easy, super quick, and requires hardly any cooking at all. The best way to impress someone with breakfast in bed but using very little energy!
Come one……you can’t tell me that doesn’t look amazing!!! I’m drooling just at the sight of it!!!
You should have seen my little face when i got the lovely comment from Westfourteen explaining that she was nominating me for The Liebster Award.
I’d never heard of The Liebster Award until now, but i love the idea behind it. It’s essentially an award created by bloggers for bloggers to just show appreciation for all the great things we all post!
I have this best friend Kevin. She’s small and very funny! Last week it was her birthday. (Her name’s not really Kevin by the way! That’s just what i call her! Her “real” name is Olivia)
Ed is great at finding out about cool, not well publicised events. I’ve decided he should be the blogger! He claims most of finds are just due to reading TimeOut, but i’m not so sure! So when he told me about the annual pillow fight that takes place in Trafalgar Square i was very excited to see and possibly partake in a little pillow action!
All day Easter Sunday, i kept forgetting i had the Monday off work too! It was such a lovely surprise when i kept remembering! However because of this i hadn’t really made any plans. Thankfully my mum was up bright and early and found a great fate style event that was on over in Guildford. So, what with the beautiful weather, we all grabbed our sunnies and jumped in the car.
The sunglasses crew!
Easter Sunday is family day in my house. Which usually means it consists of three things, family, obviously, food and activities. This year we packed up the kiddies and headed out towards Guildford to spend it with my Grandad and his lovely wife Nina. First activity of the day was pitch and putt (not as easy as crazy golf, but easier than a normal course). We arrived at Frimley Lodge Park where we grabbed some clubs and went in search of the 9 hole course.
This weekend one of my fave people had a little shin dig at her place, everyone had a fab time, drank too much and felt very fragile the next day. So it got me thinking, what exactly do you need to create the perfect house party? Well i compiled a little list for you all, most of which are very self explanatory, but you never know, they might not be things you would have thought of!
