I’m a lover of pretty much all Asian food. So when thinking of somewhere to go for our usual girly catch up, I couldn’t help but suggest Pho.

I don’t normally like going to chains because I feel like there are SO many great places to eat in London that it’s just not necessary. But I was craving noodle soup and the girls hadn’t been before so we headed to the oxford circus branch to munch away.

After a rather long wait and some confusion over who was first in the cue, we were seated up stairs and given our menu’s.

For those of you that don’t know about Pho, it started in 2005 as one of the first Vietnamese street food restaurants in London. Since then they have branched out all over the place in and around London and even as far out as Leeds and Brighton, so there is probably one not too far from you if you want to pop in.

We were pretty hungry after our wait so we order a couple of starters to share, a portion of the prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce and some fried baby squid.

All of which were very yummy, the squid especially!

After not too long a wait our mains arrived. I ordered the Pho with beef and garlic, my fave! For anyone that hasn’t had Pho before, it’s amazing! It vietnams national dish and consists of rice noodles in a broth which usually contains either beef or chicken. You then also get a side plate of fresh herbs so you can add as much or as little as you like. Then on the table you also have a variety of different sauces to give you dish even more kick. The portions are always HUGE and super tasty.

^ I STUPIDLY, after adding all my chilli’s to my dish, then went to wipe my nose and spent most of the rest of the evening close to tears as the end of my nose was now on fire!!!! Don’t touch your face after touching chilli’s kids, TRUST ME, it hurts!

Chloe and Simona opted for a fried noodle dish with chicken instead, which looked equally as yummy.

^ Apologies for the slightly blurry photo, I was too hungry to be concerned with whether it was a good shot or not!

Everything was super tasty, and more than made up for our wait at the beginning of the night. The service was also pretty good once we were seated and didn’t have to wait long at all for the food, which was good considering how hungry we all were!

Should also probably mention that Pho do take aways too, so they are great for a quick lunch before heading back to the office, or if your looking for some comfort food and a night in then grab something from here on your way home, you really can’t go wrong!
