If you guys are on social media half as much as I am, you must have seen all the little side ad’s or videos of this Summers must have product – The LayBag – going round.
It’s a new fab product that is taking festivals, camping or just travelling in general by storm. And with my up coming interrailing trip I thought it would be the perfect time to give it a real test drive. So I got in touch and LayBag very kindly send me one over to take along with me.
For those of you that don’t know what it is, let me explain. Its essentially an inflatable sofa/lilo that has managed to remove the difficult inflating part! You don’t need a pump or someone with a serious pair of lungs on them, you just need some wind. All you have to do is open the bag up, make sure its pointing in the direction the wind is coming from and then close it back up again. Done and ready to chill!
It comes in a neat little carry bag so its super easy to take with you and of course a tone of different colours to choose from. I opted for orange as i thought it would be bright and summery. The durable super strong nylon fabric also means you can also use it on water like a lilo, or on a variety of outside surfaces.
It’s just as quick to deflate and pack away again and surprisingly lightweight for what it is, meaning its the perfect alternative to an airbed for camping trips.
I obviously had to try it out before my trip to make sure its as easy as LayBag say it is, and i was very pleasantly surprised. I set it up in my garden during one of the few sunny days we had this Summer and was able to sit and work on it all day. I did have to re-fill it a couple of times as its going to deflate slightly when your sat on it ALL day, but other than that it was great. The day i used it wasn’t particularly windy so i did have to run with it a little to make sure it was fully inflated, but that was still incredibly easy and way less faff than having to get a pump out.
I’m off on my trip TODAY!!! So will be taking it along on all my stops. I’m excited to see how it fairs on Lake Bled, we shall soon see.
*LayBag sent me their product to test for free, however all opinions are my own.
