French themed date night // Bon Vivant

I’m a big fan of French food, and I certainly don’t eat it enough. I’m a sucker for sticking to Italian or some kind of Asian food, simply because I feel like you can’t go wrong with it. But when the delightful new Bon Vivant opened its doors over near Russell Square I had to give it a go.

Some of you have probably already heard of Bunga Bunga, the delicious Italian/Pizza restaurant in Battersea. Well they have opened a new one with a totally different concept in Covent Garden.

A sushi lovers dream – Sushi Cafe

For those of you that follow me on Instagram, you will know I’m a little bit obsessed with sushi. It’s the one type of food that I don’t think I ever could or would get board of. So when I discovered this little place called sushi café in Battersea, I knew I would quickly become a regular, and I’ve been singing its praises ever since.

Comptoir Libanais – Gloucester Road

Until I started my new job, my old office was based on Gloucester road. A lovely little area just round the corner from South Kensington. It has lots of lovely hotels, some BEAUTIFUL houses but not a tone of great places to eat. Burger King and KFC are the first things that greet you as you come out of the tube for goodness sake! So when I saw that they were opening a new Comptoir Libanais on the same road as said Burger King, I was ecstatic! And even more so when they asked me to come down for dinner and try it out.

Trying Ceru – South Kensington

For those of you that don’t know, I recently started an incredible new job. One of the amazing perks of this new job is getting invited to a tone of new restaurant or bar openings to sample and then create emails or content for. One of the ones I recently got invited to was Ceru in South Kensington.

The Barbary

You may remember my post a while back about Nat.ive and me gushing about how much I love Neal’s Yard. Its the most adorable little courtyard with some of the yummiest little restaurants nestled together. So when I popped over this time, I wanted to try a new one!

Dinner at Cicchetti

You may have hear me mention before that I love finding secret little gem’s when it comes to restaurants. Well this is certainly another one of those. Nestled in the heart of Piccadilly, I always assume most of the restaurants around there are simply tourist hot spots and usually chains. But Cicchetti is far from either of those…..OK technically it is sort of a chain as they have another one over in Covent Garden, one in Manchester and a couple over seas, but it really doesn’t feel like one!

Best dumpling in Brixton

You may remember my post a little while back about Pop Brixton, that at the time had just opened. Well, as you can image, a year on and the place is now in full swing and somewhere that Ed and I go to often, due to it’s easy of location and the variety of food it has to offer. It’s perfect if you both fancy something different for dinner or it’s just a lovely sunny day.

One place in Pop that, without a doubt, I go to every time we are there is Koi Ramen Bar.

All new May Fair Kitchen

I love Mayfair. As an area I think there’s just something about it that’s so sophisticated. The designer stores, the beautiful Green Park opposite and of course, the selection of amazing restaurants.

The week before last I had the opportunity to try one of those restaurants with work, the recently revamped May Fair Kitchen.

Riverside Walk Event

Growing up I think it’s safe to say I spent pretty much all of my teenage years in Kingston, be it shopping trips in my early teens, to very messy nights out at all the clubs while at uni and working all of my retail career there. I know it well and am very fond of it as an area. So when i was contacted about coming to an event down by the river, I simply couldn’t say no, even if i had landed from Amsterdam that very morning!

Anyone that remembers Kingston a couple of years back will know Riverside area, just over Kingston bridge, as being a bit of a no man’s land. A handful of nice restaurants towards the top and a couple of old man’s pubs near TKMaxx end. A complete waste of a beautiful spot if you ask me. However, it has now been given the most beautiful face lift!
